The global water crisis is staggering.  Nearly a billion people lack access to clean drinking water. 3.5 million people die each year from water related diseases. A child dies every 20 seconds. Each day 200 million hours of women's time is consumed collecting water for domestic use. That's the equivalent of 100,000 women working full time for 1 year. Imagine the impact on communities if women and children were given that time back to work another job or attend school. The world would be a better place. h2o4world is committed to making a difference and saving lives.

Presently, h2o4world is focused on impacting the most remote areas in developing nations where a stand alone water purification system, that's easily transportable, requires no electrical power or chemical supplies to produce fresh drinking water is the best choice. Once a community has access to clean drinking water they can focus on community development priorities like healthcare, agriculture, education, light manufacturing, etc. As communities develop and care for their people they are able to grow their economies and develop more robust infrastructure. It's a lofty goal that must be pursued.  We're proud to be one of many non-profits working together to not just leave a mark on this world, but change it forever.
